Shopfront Set specs
Setup notes and briefing numbers for Shopfront Set.
Fascia sizes and fixing points
Shopfront Set specs set out the practical details for complete fascia and storefront branding packs. Check sizes, vinyl finishes, fixing notes, and the brand marks needed for a South African retail fit-out.
Record the fascia length, return depth, and the height from pavement before artwork is set. Shopfront Set specs should note whether the face is painted steel, ACM, glass, or masonry, because each surface changes the vinyl choice and fixing method. In Gauteng sun and Western Cape wind, edge lift and panel movement need to be allowed for on long runs.
Include straight-on photos of the full frontage and close shots of joins, cracks, and existing holes. A spec sheet for this pack works best when it lists measured opening widths, mullion positions, and any signs that must stay visible after branding. That prevents logos landing over door hardware or split across uneven panels.
Window band and logo schedule
State the cut vinyl colours, laminate requirement, and final panel sizes for the fascia, glazing, and entry decals. Brand marks need exact placement notes, especially where a landlord board, security gate, or tenant number shares the same frontage. One approved set of dimensions is more useful than multiple artwork variations with no install reference.
Use the matching measurements from the site file before ordering print or cut stock. Check bleed, overlap, and packing labels against the Shopfront Set list, then send any missing fascia lengths through the contact form. For linked references, keep Graphics, Shopfronts, and Mark notes in the same job record.

SA site conditions that matter
Shopfront branding in South Africa often has to account for tiled walkways, roller shutters, and older sign trays still fixed above the entrance. Specs should mention shopping centre rules, street-facing exposure, and whether installation happens behind a security gate after trading hours. Freight to Durban, Cape Town, or smaller inland towns also affects how long panels can safely travel without damage.
Coastal stores need materials that cope better with salt air and stronger UV on exposed facades. Dusty inland sites need proper cleaning notes before application, or the adhesive bond suffers on painted surfaces and glass. Loadshedding can interrupt print, lamination, and installation timing, so access windows and power availability should be written into the pack.

Measurements to send with artwork
List the store name, centre or street address, and the exact frontage being branded. Add overall width, individual pane sizes, door swing direction, and the position of alarms, handles, and electrical points. If old vinyl failed, note whether it shrank, cracked, or lifted at the edges.
Keep the spec sheet with the approved artwork, colour call-outs, and install notes for the same job. When a buyer or installer checks what was supplied, the record should show materials, quantities, and where each brand mark belongs on the storefront.
